Philippine Peso Exchange Rates: MAY 29, 2025

Have you ever wondered how money from different countries compares to each other? Like, how many pesos can you get if you trade one U.S. dollar? Or how much a British pound is worth compared to a Japanese yen? Let’s learn all about it!

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), which is the Philippines’ main bank, shared the latest information about how the Philippine peso stacks up against other important world currencies as of May 29, 2025.

Here are the top 15 currencies and how much they are worth compared to the Philippine peso and the U.S. dollar (which is like the world’s most popular money):

  1. United States Dollar (USD)

    • 1 USD is worth about 55.57 Philippine pesos.

    • This means if you have 1 U.S. dollar, you can trade it for 55.57 pesos.

  2. Japanese Yen (JPY)

    • 1 Japanese yen is worth only about 0.38 pesos.

    • So, you need many yen to get one peso!

  3. British Pound (GBP)

    • 1 British pound is worth about 74.87 pesos.

    • This is stronger than the U.S. dollar and yen!

  4. Hong Kong Dollar (HKD)

    • 1 Hong Kong dollar equals about 7.09 pesos.

  5. Swiss Franc (CHF)

    • 1 Swiss franc is worth about 67.24 pesos.

    • That’s quite a lot of pesos!

  6. Canadian Dollar (CAD)

    • 1 Canadian dollar equals about 40.17 pesos.

  7. Singapore Dollar (SGD)

    • 1 Singapore dollar is about 43.11 pesos.

  8. Australian Dollar (AUD)

    • 1 Australian dollar is worth about 35.69 pesos.

  9. Bahrain Dinar (BHD)

    • 1 Bahrain dinar is very strong, worth about 147.43 pesos!

  10. Kuwait Dinar (KWD)

  • (No exact value shown here, but it’s known to be very strong too.)

  1. Saudi Riyal (SAR)

  • 1 Saudi riyal equals about 14.81 pesos.

  1. Brunei Dollar (BND)

  • 1 Brunei dollar equals about 42.94 pesos.

  1. Indonesian Rupiah (IDR)

  • 1 rupiah is only worth about 0.0034 pesos — very small!

  1. Thai Baht (THB)

  • 1 baht equals about 1.70 pesos.

  1. United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED)

  • 1 dirham equals about 15.13 pesos.

What Does This All Mean?

Different countries use different money, and some money is stronger or weaker compared to others. The numbers tell us how much Philippine peso you can get if you trade 1 unit of another country’s currency.

For example, the Bahrain dinar is very strong — 1 dinar can get you 147 pesos! But the Japanese yen is weaker, so you need many yen to get one peso.

Why do we care? Because when people travel, buy things from other countries, or send money, they need to know how much their money is worth compared to other currencies.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas also keeps track of the gold and silver prices, because precious metals are important for the economy too.

So, next time you hear about money from other countries, you’ll know why it matters and how strong or weak it is compared to our peso!
