Beyond Borders: Korea Travel Fiesta 2025 Unveils Winter Fun!

Embrace Winter Wonderland: Korea Travel Fiesta 2025 Is Here!

Are you ready for the ultimate snow day adventure? Mark your calendars because the Korea Travel Fiesta 2025 has officially launched! This exciting event is dedicated to showcasing the winter magic of Korea, especially for Filipino families searching for their next holiday escape.

On Saturday, the Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) unveiled this vibrant celebration at SM Mall of Asia’s Music Hall. The goal? To shine a spotlight on Korea’s diverse tourism offerings and boost excitement for winter travel, just as the Philippines steps into the heartwarming “ber-months” — the perfect time to start planning your memorable Christmas getaway.

A Warm Invitation from KTO

KTO’s Acting Vice President of Tourism Content Strategy, Kim Nam Chun, expressed his hopes in a heartfelt message. “We want you to experience the magic of Korean tourism before you book your holiday. This event is designed to inspire unforgettable moments with your loved ones in Korea,” he said.

Visitors can expect a treasure trove of travel deals from airlines and agencies, as well as tempting packages for ski resorts near Seoul. And here’s the cherry on top: the “1+1 promotion.” If you book your roundtrip flights to Korea during the event, you’ll also receive free tickets to captivating destinations like Jeju Island or Busan.

Experience Korea Up Close

The fiesta isn’t just about travel deals; it’s about experiencing Korea right here at home. Picture this: you could wear a beautiful hanbok, delve into a fun skin or color analysis, or even get cartoonized by talented Korean artists.

As Kim Nam Chun beautifully put it, “We hope these programs inspire you to plan a memorable Christmas holiday with your family in Korea. Explore the richness of Korea’s cultural offerings while gaining exclusive insights and benefits about travel products.”

The Growing Connection Between Our Countries

The bond between the Philippines and South Korea continues to flourish. Kim shared exciting news: in 2024, the number of Filipino tourists visiting Korea surged by 51% compared to the previous year, reaching a remarkable 520,000! This growth solidifies the Philippines as a key player in Southeast Asian tourism.

Secretary Christina Frasco of the Department of Tourism echoed this sentiment. “I encourage our Filipino friends to explore Korea, while warmly welcoming our Korean friends to discover the beauty of the Philippines,” she said through Undersecretary Shahlimar Hofer Tamano. Both countries cherish sustainable tourism, and with new direct flights connecting South Korea to cities like Cebu, Davao, and more, it’s never been easier to embark on this adventure!

The Festivities Continue

As part of the kick-off celebrations, attendees were treated to dazzling performances from the Korean cast of the musical “Dream High,” featuring stars like Kim Dongjun and SE7EN. The stunning choreography by the K-Tigers martial arts group left hearts racing as they showcased incredible taekwondo feats alongside catchy tunes from the hit Netflix film “K-Pop Demon Hunters.”

A crowd-pleasing finale featured Infinite’s Kim Myungsoo, who serenaded fans with enchanting songs, reminding everyone of the joy that awaits in Korea.

The Korea Travel Fiesta 2025 runs through August 31, so don’t miss your chance to dive into the wonders of Korean culture, snag travel deals, and double your excitement with those free tickets!
