Philippines on Alert: DMW Hotlines Open Amid Israel-Iran Clash

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) in the Philippines is now on high alert because something serious is happening in the Middle East—there’s growing trouble between Israel and Iran.

This could be dangerous, especially for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) working in those countries. That’s why the DMW is taking action now to make sure our kababayans are safe and supported.

🛑 What Did the DMW Do?

They set up a 24/7 Help Desk—that means it’s open all day and all night, so OFWs and their families can call anytime if they need help or have questions.

Here are the numbers you can call:

📞 DMW-OWWA Help Desk in the Philippines
Dial: 1348

📞 If You’re Abroad
Dial: +63 2 1348

📍 Emergency Contacts for OFWs in the Middle East

The DMW also gave a list of emergency phone numbers for OFWs who are living or working in Israel, Lebanon, and Jordan.

🚨 What Should OFWs Do Now?

The DMW says all OFWs in Israel and Iran should:

  1. Stay indoors – Don’t go outside unless it’s really important.

  2. Be alert – Watch the news or updates from the embassy.

  3. Stay connected – Keep in touch with the Philippine Embassy or the MWO in your country.

  4. Don’t spread fake news – Sharing wrong info can cause panic and make things worse.

🛡️ The DMW wants every OFW to stay safe and calm while they monitor the situation closely.

If you or someone you love is working in the Middle East, save these numbers, stay safe, and don’t panic—help is just one call away.
