Every day, money from different countries changes value when compared to other money. But did you know that the Philippine peso is always going up and down, just like a see-saw, depending on what happens in the world?
On July 3, 2025, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) released a new report showing how the top 15 currencies are doing compared to the Philippine peso. Let’s break it down like a money mystery!
💵 1. U.S. DOLLAR (USD) — ₱56.34
The U.S. dollar is still one of the strongest currencies in the world. That means if you have 1 U.S. dollar, you get ₱56.34 in exchange. The peso is weaker than the dollar, which can make imported goods more expensive.
💴 2. JAPANESE YEN (JPY) — ₱0.39
The yen is much smaller than the peso. For every 1 Japanese yen, you only get ₱0.39. That means you’d need almost 3 yen to match ₱1.
💷 3. BRITISH POUND (GBP) — ₱76.94
Whoa! The British pound is super strong. For just 1 pound, you’d get nearly ₱77! That’s almost the price of a fast-food meal.
🇭🇰 4. HONG KONG DOLLAR (HKD) — ₱7.18
The Hong Kong dollar is stronger than many Asian currencies. ₱7.18 for 1 HK dollar means it’s a little more powerful than the peso.
🇨🇭 5. SWISS FRANC (CHF) — ₱71.09
Switzerland is famous for banks and chocolate—and strong money. One Swiss franc equals ₱71.09. That’s even more than the dollar!
🇨🇦 6. CANADIAN DOLLAR (CAD) — ₱41.45
The Canadian dollar isn’t as strong as the U.S. one, but still much higher than the peso.
🇸🇬 7. SINGAPORE DOLLAR (SGD) — ₱44.27
Singapore is tiny but powerful. One dollar there is worth ₱44.27—a strong sign of its stable economy.
🇦🇺 8. AUSTRALIAN DOLLAR (AUD) — ₱37.09
The Aussie dollar is doing well. It trades at ₱37.09 per 1 AUD.
🇧🇭 9. BAHRAIN DINAR (BHD) — ₱149.47
🔥 Wow! The Bahrain dinar is the strongest on the list. ₱149.47 for just one dinar? That’s like two fast-food meals or a nice pair of slippers!
🇰🇼 10. KUWAITI DINAR (KWD) — ❌ No Data
Oops! No update today from BSP. But normally, the Kuwaiti dinar is one of the strongest currencies in the world.
🇸🇦 11. SAUDI RIYAL (SAR) — ₱15.02
Many OFWs in Saudi Arabia send riyals home. Each riyal gives you ₱15.02, so families in the Philippines benefit more when the riyal is strong.
🇧🇳 12. BRUNEI DOLLAR (BND) — ₱44.10
This dollar is tied closely with Singapore’s, and it’s just as strong. ₱44.10 per BND.
🇮🇩 13. INDONESIAN RUPIAH (IDR) — ₱0.0035
This currency is very small. You’d need almost 286 rupiah to get ₱1. Their bills look big, but their value is tiny compared to the peso.
🇹🇭 14. THAI BAHT (THB) — ₱1.74
The Thai baht is close in value to the peso, giving ₱1.74 for each baht.
🇦🇪 15. UAE DIRHAM (AED) — ₱15.34
Many OFWs in Dubai use dirhams. It gives ₱15.34 per 1 AED, which helps a lot of families in the Philippines when they send money home.
