UC Grad Takes Top Spot in Aug 2026 Mechanical Engineering Exam!

Exciting Milestones for Aspiring Mechanical Engineers: PRC Releases Exam Results

On a thrilling Thursday, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced the results for three significant examinations conducted by the Board of Mechanical Engineering earlier this month. The atmosphere was electric, filled with anticipation and hope as aspiring engineers awaited their fates.

Out of 3,686 test takers, 1,362 emerged victorious, passing the mechanical engineers licensure examination. This achievement is more than just a number. It represents dedication, sleepless nights, and the dreams of countless individuals striving for their place in the engineering world.

In the realm of specialized skills, 109 out of 142 candidates successfully completed the certified plant mechanics computer-based licensure examination. These exams were held in various locations including Metro Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga, highlighting the widespread accessibility of these critical assessments.

Spotlight on Excellence
Among the successful candidates, one name stood tall: Junry Vitor Vistal, a proud graduate of the University of Cebu. With an outstanding score of 92.20%, he not only aced the exam but also earned the title of highest scorer—a remarkable achievement that serves as inspiration for many.

The competition was fierce, but some institutions shone brighter than others. De La Salle University-Manila was the top-performing school for those with at least 50 examinees, boasting a passing rate where 49 out of 56 of its test-takers triumphed. Meanwhile, Capiz State University-main campus showcased its strength with 21 of 25 candidates passing, becoming the standout institution for those with 10 to 49 examinees.

Navigating the Results
The PRC also uploaded an alphabetical listing of successful candidates. As a slight twist, remember that in this list, the charming letter Ñ comes right after Z. So, if you’re searching for names, just know that a person with the surname Muñoz will appear after someone with the name Muya!

In another promising note, the PRC announced that 574 candidates successfully passed the oral examination and technical evaluation for professional mechanical engineers, conducted across various locations including Metro Manila, Baguio, Calapan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Puerto Princesa, and Rosales.

These results are not just numbers; they represent dreams fulfilled, families celebrating, and futures launched. For all those who took the plunge, whether they emerged victorious or faced challenges, remember that every step in this journey is a testament to your perseverance and passion.

Congratulations to all the successful candidates! The future of engineering is bright, and your journey has just begun.
