Safe Passage: Filipino Seafarers Navigate the Strait of Hormuz Amidst Turmoil
In a heartwarming turn of events, four Philippine-registered vessels carrying 81 brave Filipino seafarers have successfully navigated the perilous waters of the Strait of Hormuz. These courageous crew members are now out of the conflict area in the Persian Gulf, thanks to the tireless efforts of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
The vessels—MV Lyng Trader, MV Western Doncaster, MV Vivian Trader, and MV Eva Fuji—have become symbols of hope as they made their way through this treacherous route from June 24 to July 1. The DFA’s statement reassured families and friends that “all 81 Filipino seafarers aboard the four vessels are safe.”
