🚨 July 7, 2026: Updated Pump Prices You Need to Know! 🚨

Gas Price Rollercoaster: What to Expect This Week

Get ready, motorists! This week, we’re once again facing the thrilling ride that is fuel pricing. Whether we’re bracing ourselves for some welcomed rollbacks or preparing for hikes at the pump, the only certainty is change.

The Department of Energy (DOE) has set the stage for adjustments that will impact our travels. Gasoline prices might have a slight reprieve or a spike, but one thing is clear: prices for diesel and kerosene are going up.

Starting Tuesday, July 7, 2026, here’s what you can expect from some of the major fuel retailers:

– Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. will increase their prices per liter:
– Gasoline: up by P0.25
– Diesel: up by P3.30
– Kerosene: up by P1.75

Similarly, Petro Gazz and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will also impose the same changes for gasoline and diesel, but they don’t carry kerosene.

– Petron Corp. is joining the fray with a slightly smaller rise:
– Gasoline: up by P0.20
– Diesel: up by P3.30
– Kerosene: up by P1.70

All of these changes will kick in at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, so make sure to fill up before then if you can.

Looking back, last week saw gas prices climb by P1.60 to P1.90, while diesel increased by P0.85 and kerosene by P1.20 to P1.22. Yes, you heard that right—these ongoing increases have added up dramatically. As of June 30, our year-to-date adjustments now show an eye-watering net rise of P45.02 per liter for gasoline, P31.56 for diesel, and P28.72 for kerosene.

According to GMA News Research, this latest hike marks the second in a row for gasoline and diesel, with gasoline prices rising a total of 22 times this year so far! Kerosene isn’t far behind, experiencing an 18th increase this year.

It’s a lot to take in, and while fluctuations are part of the game, our pockets feel the sting. As we navigate these changes, let’s keep an eye on the road ahead and brace for whatever comes next at the fuel pumps. Stay safe out there!
