Emirates Airlines, a very big and famous airline from Dubai, is planning something exciting for the Philippines!
Right now, Emirates flies to three places in the Philippines: Manila, Cebu, and Clark. But guess what? They’re thinking about flying to one more new place in the country!
Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco shared this good news after she met with the bosses of Emirates Airlines at a big travel event in Dubai called the Arabian Travel Market 2025.
She said, “Emirates wants to fly to more places in the Philippines and bring more people here!” But she didn’t say yet which new place Emirates might fly to. It’s still a surprise!
The Department of Tourism (DOT) and Emirates also signed an agreement. That means they agreed to work together to tell more people in the Middle East and Europe how fun and beautiful the Philippines is!
Why is this important? Because more planes mean more tourists, more jobs, and more happy businesses in the country!
Secretary Frasco said:
“This is a great partnership! With Emirates helping us, more people can fly here. That’s good because the Philippines really depends on airplanes to bring tourists in.”
So, the next time you see a plane flying high in the sky, it might just be Emirates coming to a new place in the Philippines!
