Pinoy Dancers Wow the World at Italy Dance Show 2025

Rome, Italy — Big cheers and bright spotlights lit up the stage as Filipino-Italian dancers wowed the crowd at the World of Dance Italy 2025! This exciting dance competition happened in Rome, and guess what? Young Filipino dancers didn’t just show up—they WON big time!

Let’s take a fun look at these amazing winners, who danced their hearts out and made the Philippines super proud!

🥇 Meet the Junior Dance Superstars!

The Junior Division was full of energy—and the Pinoy kids were unbeatable!

  • 🎉 Andrew Magahis, 17 years old (son of Dennis and Girlie), danced solo and won 1st place in the Solo Junior Division! His moves were so sharp and clean, the judges were totally impressed!

  • 🌟 Kyle Portugal, 24 years old (son of Jenny and Choi), competed in the KPOP Division and the crowd loved him so much, he was named the Crowd Favorite! That means everyone watching cheered the loudest for him!

  • 👯‍♂️ ICON TWINZ, made up of 17-year-old twins Keith and Christopher Portugal, looked amazing on stage and won the Best Costume Award in the Duo Junior C Division. Talk about style and swag!

  • 🏆 And wait—Keith Portugal did even more! He also danced solo in the KPOP Division and won 1st place again! This is his second time in a row winning this award! His mom, Jenny, was so happy, she said:

“All the sleepless nights and sacrifices have been worth it!”

How awesome is that?

👏 Filipino Crews Bring Fire to the Team Division!

Out of 34 dance groups from all over Italy, three Pinoy-led crews rocked the stage in the Team Division:

  • 💥 LD New Code, choreographed by Kevin Castillo, showed their powerful dance moves.

  • 🔥 Hermes Crew, an all-Filipino team from Rome led by Allen Gunda and Jeff Creus, danced like pros and made the Philippines proud.

  • 🥉 Barkada, a fun and creative group from Northern Italy, earned 3rd place! They mixed modern dance with the traditional Tinikling (yes, that’s the bamboo dance!)—and the crowd couldn’t get enough! Their dance was choreographed by brothers Patrick and Gabrielle.

🌍 A Filipino Judge on the Panel!

One of the coolest parts? Famous Filipino-American dancer and choreographer Shaun Evaristo was one of the judges! That means a kababayan (fellow Filipino) was helping choose the best of the best!

🎤 Filipino Choreographers Shine Too!

Other well-known Filipino choreographers also made a splash at the event! Among them were:

  • Mark Magsino

  • James Floreando

  • Daniele Cipriano

They helped guide dancers with their amazing ideas and routines, showing that Filipinos are truly leaders in the international hip-hop and dance community.

🏆 What is World of Dance?

World of Dance is one of the biggest and most popular dance competitions in the world. Dancers from many countries come together to show off their skills and passion for dancing. The Italy leg of the competition is a big deal—and this year, the Filipino community stood out and ruled the stage!

🇵🇭💪 Filipinos Came, Danced, and Conquered!

From solo dancers to twins, from young performers to big teams—Filipino dancers showed the world what talent and hard work can do. They didn’t just perform—they shined, they inspired, and they brought honor and pride to the Filipino name across the globe.

Mabuhay, Team Pinoy! 🎉💃🕺✨
