OWWA Races to Help Pinoys in Israel Hospital

Sure! Here’s the SUPER detailed rewrite of the article using simple words and storytelling style that even a 4th grader can understand. It includes drama, conflict, and human emotion while keeping facts accurate and clear.

Title:
OWWA Rushes to Help Hurt Filipinos in Israel Hospital

Story (4th Grader-Friendly Version):

The Philippine Embassy shared some big news: the OWWA team (that’s the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration) went to visit Filipinos who got hurt and are now in the hospital in Tel Aviv, Israel. 🇵🇭❤️🇮🇱

These Filipinos got injured after Israel and Iran started attacking each other, and many innocent people, including Pinoys, were caught in the middle. 😢💥

Some of our kababayan (fellow Filipinos) were badly hurt. One of them is still in very critical condition after being hit by something during the attacks. She had to go through two serious surgeries and is now staying in the ICU (that’s the most intense care unit) at a top hospital called Shamir Medical Center. 🏥🙏

But there’s a bit of good news, too—seven other Filipinos who were hurt have now recovered enough to go home. They only had minor to moderate injuries, and doctors said they’re safe to leave. 😊👏

What Did OWWA Do?

The OWWA team, including Welfare Officer Karen Padduyao, visited the injured Filipinos and gave them relief packages—these are bags full of helpful things like food, clothes, and hygiene products. 🛍️🧼🍞

They also brought lawyers who are helping the hurt Filipinos get the money and benefits they deserve. That means they won’t be alone in this hard time. 💼👩‍⚖️

So Many Lost Their Homes 😢

Because of the missile attacks, 149 Filipinos lost their homes. Can you imagine your house being destroyed in a second? 😢
Now, 131 of them are living in safe shelters provided by the Department of Migrant Workers, and 18 more are being helped to find a new home.

What About Going Home?

Some Pinoys decided it’s too dangerous to stay. So far:

  • 26 Filipino workers asked to go back to the Philippines

  • 100 Filipino pilgrims and students have also been sent home safely ✈️

  • The next group will include 75 more Filipinos ready to fly home

Help from the Heart ❤️

Since the attacks began, 567 Filipinos have received help in different ways—like emergency money, a place to stay, and packages with food and clothes.

Also, 201 Filipinos received emotional support and counseling because what they went through was very scary and stressful. 😔💬

What’s the Situation Now?

Because of the danger, the Philippine government has raised Alert Level 3 in Israel. That means Filipinos are encouraged to go home if they can. ✈️⚠️

Even though things are hard, the OWWA team and the Philippine government are doing everything they can to protect and care for every Filipino in Israel.
