Kris attended the People of the Year 2025 awards night hosted by PeopleAsia magazine. She wasn’t there to receive an award herself but to show her support for her close friend, fashion designer Michael Leyva, who was one of the night’s awardees.
In an Instagram Reel posted by PeopleAsia, Kris admitted that she didn’t initially realize the significance of the date.
“I actually thought today was the 24th, that tomorrow was the 25th,” she said.
It was Michael Leyva who pointed out that her return to the public eye was happening on the eve of the EDSA anniversary.
“So, sabi ko, ‘Perfect! What a perfect coming out’,” Kris added.
Her Iconic Yellow and Pink Outfit
Kris made a fashion statement during the event, wearing a yellow top, a floral skirt, and a pink blazer. She completed her look with a yellow face mask and pink eyeglasses.
