GMA Network, IPOPHL sign anti-piracy agreement

GMA Network, Inc. and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) signed an agreement that aims to combat piracy.

According to “24 Oras,” Thursday, GMA Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe Yalong and IPOPHL Director General Atty. Rowel Barba led the agreement signing.

The agreement will establish a campaign and innovative strategies to discourage the patronization of pirated content.

Yalong said that GMA fully supports actions that will help the entire industry protect the intellectual property rights of a broadcast network or a content creator. — Carby Basina/BAP, GMA Integrated News
