Claim Your Cash Gift Under the Expanded Centenarians Act Now!

Celebrating Our Elders: A New Way to Claim Cash Gifts for Senior Citizens!

Great news for our beloved Filipino senior citizens! The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) has just made it easier for those aged 80, 85, 90, 95, and even 100 years young to claim their P10,000 cash gift as part of the Expanded Centenarians Act, under Republic Act No. 11982.

Embracing the Digital Age

Gone are the days of long lines and piles of paperwork. Now, you can claim this wonderful gift digitally! Just imagine the convenience—it’s all just a click away. To get started, simply download the updated claim form from the NCSC’s website. Prefer to pick up the form in person? You can also find it at the nearest Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) or Local Social Welfare and Development Office (LSWDO).

How to Claim the Cash Gift

Once you’ve got your claim form, filling it out is straightforward. You’ll need to specify how you’d like to receive your cash gift. Here are the options:

– Your bank account linked to Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Social Security System (SSS), or even the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) pensions.
– A Land Bank of the Philippines PISO account.
– A GCash account (just make sure it’s verified).
– The nearest Palawan Pawnshop branch.

Gather Your Documents

Before you hit that submit button, don’t forget to gather a few essential documents to accompany your completed form:

– Your Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) birth certificate.
– A National ID or a digital NCSC ID.
– One recent whole-body photo.
– A bank-verified deposit slip or a printed screenshot of your GCash profile.

The Waiting Game

Once you’ve submitted everything, all you need to do is wait for a notification or call from the NCSC regional office. They’ll confirm your transaction account, and just like that, the cash gift is on its way to you!

Encouraging Family Support

Recognizing that technology can be challenging, especially for our elders, NCSC chairperson Ma. Merceditas Gutierrez emphasized the importance of family support. “So, our youth and relatives at home can help our grandparents,” she said during the program Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon.

Furthermore, Land Bank of the Philippines is making strides to facilitate the process for senior citizens by setting up designated senior citizens’ corners. This initiative is a thoughtful way to ensure that our elders have all the assistance they need in navigating the world of banking.

Together, We Can Help

As we celebrate our senior citizens, let’s come together as a community. Whether it’s guiding a loved one through the digital process or simply offering some company during their visit to the bank, every little bit helps.

Our elders have given so much to us; now, it’s our turn to give back. Let’s ensure they feel valued and supported in every step of their journey. After all, they deserve all the love and care this world has to offer!
