Kim Jong Un Pledges to Strengthen North Korea’s Nuclear Power

SEOUL, South Korea – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is not happy with the growing military alliance between the United States, Japan, and South Korea. He says their joint war exercises and deployment of nuclear weapons in the region are creating an imbalance and raising tensions.

Kim’s Response: More Nuclear Weapons!

Kim criticized the military cooperation between these countries and warned that North Korea will fight back.
He declared that developing even stronger nuclear forces is now an unshakable policy for North Korea.
“We don’t want unnecessary tensions,” Kim said, “but we will take actions to maintain military balance.”

Kim’s Support for Russia in the Ukraine War

During his speech, Kim also backed Russia, saying North Korea will always support its fight for sovereignty.

South Korea recently accused North Korea of sending over 11,000 troops to help Russia in its war with Ukraine—and they believe more soldiers might be on their way.

North Korea’s Warning to South Korea & the U.S.

Later on Sunday, North Korean state media (KCNA) warned that South Korea and the U.S. will face consequences for their military drills.

“They carried out the most intense war exercises ever. We will not ignore this,” KCNA reported.
