Rhian Ramos on Issue: “Truth Will Prevail”

For the first time since controversy surrounded her and fellow Kapuso star Michelle Dee, Rhian Ramos is speaking up.

And while her voice is calm… you can feel the weight behind it.

In an exclusive report by Aubrey Carampel on 24 Oras, Rhian admitted what many already sensed — the past few weeks have not been easy.

Not at all.

“Well, honestly, syempre, sino ba naman matutuwa?” she began, her honesty disarming.
“Yes, it’s in a way stressful… pero I’m also quite confident na the truth will set us free.”

There it was.

Not anger.
Not defensiveness.

Just quiet confidence.

Still, Rhian made it clear that now is not the time to reveal everything. There may be legal steps ahead. And because of that, she is choosing restraint.

“I just can’t give so much details about everything because we might be waiting for a possible case or whatever,” she explained. “But yeah, in the end, the truth will set us free.”

Careful. Measured. Steady.

And yet, despite the noise surrounding her name, Rhian stood radiant on stage as she received the TV Actress of the Year award at the Platinum Stallion National Media Awards 2026 for her role as Mitena in Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre.

Smiling. Gracious. Composed.

Then came a remark that didn’t go unnoticed.

“Happy Chinese New Year. Thank God it’s the end of Snake Year and it’s now the Year of the Horse. What a way to start it. Pa-angpao nga diyan. Charot,” she quipped playfully.

Lighthearted on the surface. But for many watching, layered with meaning.

The comment followed online buzz over her response to Michelle Dee’s Instagram post, where Michelle was seen holding an angpao for Chinese New Year. Rhian had commented, “May your ampaos be filled,” — a remark that quickly ignited speculation among netizens.

Rhian clarified that her confidence does not come from mockery or malice.

“I think where that’s coming from really is not that it’s a funny matter. Kung ano naman ‘yung totoo, ‘yun ‘yung lalabas eh. And that’s why I feel confident na things are going to be okay.”

For now, she says, defending herself publicly is not her priority — no matter how many are urging her to do so.

“It’s just not the right time right now,” she said firmly. “A lot of people are asking me to defend myself. The more important thing right now is not to defend myself because I don’t need to.”

Not because she can’t.
But because she believes she doesn’t have to.

Instead, Rhian is choosing to focus on gratitude.

She expressed heartfelt thanks to the students, faculty, and staff of Trinity University of Asia for the recognition.

“I am so, so grateful… It’s so nice to be representing ‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre.’”

In the middle of controversy, she stands by her work.

In the middle of speculation, she stands by her silence.

And above all, she stands by one belief:

The truth will set us free.
