Marcos to OFWs: Your Vote Can Shape PH in Eleksyon 2025

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has a special message for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) around the world: Don’t forget to vote!

In a friendly video message, the President asked Filipinos living in other countries to take part in Eleksyon 2025 (that’s the 2025 elections in the Philippines!).

“Have you voted yet? Voting is still happening for OFWs,” he said.
“This is your chance to help decide the future of our country.”

🖥️ Voting Is Now Easier—You Can Do It Online!

President Marcos shared some good news: OFWs don’t need to travel far or stand in long lines anymore just to vote. Now, they can vote online, using just a phone, tablet, or computer—even from another country!

“Wherever you are in the world, you can now vote easily, quickly, and safely,” he said.

This makes it more convenient for Filipinos abroad to make their voices heard and help choose the right leaders.

🗳️ Choose the Right Leaders for the Country

President Marcos also reminded everyone how important it is to vote wisely.

“Let’s use this right to vote. Let’s choose leaders who truly care about the people, are skilled, and have strong values,” he said.

He believes that if voters choose the right candidates, we can all help build a better future—a “Bagong Pilipinas,” or New Philippines.

📆 Voting Dates and Deadline Extension

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) made a big announcement too!

They extended the time for OFWs to sign up for online voting from May 7 to May 10, 2025. This means more OFWs have time to get ready to vote.

This change was made official through Comelec Memorandum No. 250714, which was signed on May 5, 2025.

As of May 6, more than 200,000 overseas Filipinos had already registered for the online voting system, which opened on March 20.

🕗 Voting Time: April 13 to May 12

The actual voting period for Filipinos overseas started on April 13 at 8 a.m., and it will end on May 12 at 7 p.m., the same day voting closes in the Philippines.

So if you’re an OFW and want to help shape the country’s future—now is your time to vote!
