Actress and singer-songwriter Yen Durano has finally opened up about why she decided to leave Vivamax after doing several movies with them. In a heartfelt interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” this Wednesday, she shared her reasons for stepping away from the streaming platform.
Yen Durano’s Big Decision
When asked why she left, Yen didn’t hold back:
“I feel like I’m done with it. I’m done with my contract and movies there. I make music. I want to focus on my music.”
Yen revealed that she’s a singer-songwriter, creating music in R&B and contemporary soul. Now, she wants to focus on her passion and explore more music genres.
Goodbye to Her Old Roles?
Tito Boy also asked if she no longer wanted to do the kind of movies she used to make in Vivamax. Yen agreed, saying she has already done around 10 to 12 films with the platform.
“I believe it’s time to make a change and be firm with that change. If you want to move on to the next thing, you have to stop someday and focus your energy there.”
This means she’s ready to start fresh and pursue a new path in her career.
Grateful for Vivamax
Even though she’s leaving, Yen made sure to thank Vivamax for the opportunities they gave her.
“I’m very grateful for the Vivamax platform because without them, I wouldn’t be here now.”
