CAIRO – Something big happened this week. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel agreed to work together to send very important help to the people of Gaza, a place where many families are suffering because of war.
The UAE, a country in the Middle East, said that it talked with Israel on the phone. Their leaders — UAE’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar — had a serious talk about how to help.
The result? Israel will now allow the UAE to send food, baby items, and supplies to help bake bread — all very important things for families in Gaza right now. The first batch of aid will help around 15,000 people, which is like helping an entire small town.
💔 Why Do They Need Help?
For the past several months, there has been a lot of fighting between Israel and a group in Gaza called Hamas. This fighting started in October 2023, when Hamas attacked parts of Israel. Since then, Israel has been fighting back, using airplanes and soldiers.
Sadly, this has made life very hard for the people living in Gaza — especially for kids and families who just want to live in peace.

Over 500 people have died in just the past 8 days, according to doctors in Gaza.

The war has made it very hard to find food, water, medicine, and even fuel (which is used for cooking and hospitals).

Since March, Israel had blocked most supplies from entering Gaza, which made things even worse.
But now, after lots of international pressure (meaning other countries asking Israel to stop and help), some trucks filled with aid have been allowed to go in.
In fact, about 100 trucks were finally given permission to enter Gaza this week, said a United Nations (UN) spokesperson.
🌍 What Are Other Countries Saying?
Even leaders from the European Union (EU) — which is a group of countries working together in Europe — are speaking up. A top official named Kaja Kallas said the EU might review or change its trade deal with Israel because the situation in Gaza is “catastrophic” — which means really, really bad.
🚛 What Will the UAE’s Aid Include?
The aid from the UAE will include:
