Things are getting really tense between Israel and Iran, and now everyone is watching President Donald Trump to see if the United States will join the fight.
📣 The White House announced that Trump will decide in the next 2 weeks if America will get involved.
🕊️ Trump Wants Peace… But Is Ready to Fight
According to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Trump said he might wait because there’s a chance Iran could agree to peace talks soon.
But even though he wants to try talking first, Trump is also clear:
“If Iran keeps trying to build a nuclear weapon, there will be serious consequences.”
Leavitt explained that Trump:
-
Wants a deal that stops Iran from making nuclear weapons
-
Believes in “peace through strength” — meaning he likes solving problems with peace, but won’t back down if force is needed
-
Is still open to talking, but won’t let Iran become more dangerous
🚫 No Clear Plan for Congress Approval
When reporters asked if Trump would ask permission from Congress before launching any military attack, Leavitt didn’t give a straight answer.
She said America still believes Iran is closer than ever to making a dangerous nuclear bomb — and that can’t be allowed.
💥 The War is Getting Worse
This week, things got even more intense:
-
Israel bombed Iran’s nuclear targets on Thursday
-
In return, Iran launched missiles and drones at Israel
-
One of Iran’s strikes hit an Israeli hospital, making things worse and spreading fear
Neither side is backing down. The air war has been going on for a week, and it’s only getting bigger and scarier.
🤯 Trump Sends Mixed Signals
Trump’s actions and words are confusing many:
-
On one day, he said no one knows what he’ll do
-
On another, he joked online about killing Iran’s leader Khamenei
-
Then he demanded Iran’s “unconditional surrender” — meaning they must stop everything without asking for anything in return
Behind the scenes, though, something surprising is happening:
📞 Three diplomats told Reuters that Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, has spoken on the phone multiple times with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi since the airstrikes began.
This means that while war is happening, secret conversations are also going on — maybe, just maybe, to stop things from getting worse.
🌍 What’s Next?
In the next two weeks, Trump will decide:
-
Will the U.S. stay out and push for peace?
-
Or will America join the fight, risking a bigger war?
For now, the world can only wait and watch — and hope for peace before things explode even more.
