Philippine Peso Exchange Rates: JUNE 19, 2025

Have you ever wondered how much your money is really worth when compared to other countries? Today, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) released its official currency exchange rates, and guess what? A lot has changed—and it could affect how much you pay for things made in other countries, or how much OFWs send home!

Let’s break down what’s happening with the top 15 currencies and explain it in a way even a 4th grader can understand.👇

🇺🇸 1. US Dollar (USD)

  • $1 = ₱57.33
The US dollar is still very strong in the Philippines. This means Filipinos working in the US send more pesos home when they send dollars.

🇯🇵 2. Japanese Yen (JPY)

  • ¥1 = ₱0.39
The yen is one of the lowest-valued currencies on this list. You need a lot of yen to equal even one peso!

🇬🇧 3. British Pound (GBP)

  • £1 = ₱77.19
Wow! The British pound is one of the most powerful currencies. Just one pound gives you more than ₱77!

🇭🇰 4. Hong Kong Dollar (HKD)

  • HK$1 = ₱7.30
The Hong Kong dollar is not as strong as the US or UK currencies, but it’s still higher than the peso.

🇨🇭 5. Swiss Franc (CHF)

  • CHF1 = ₱70.25
Switzerland’s franc is strong too. It’s nearly as powerful as the British pound in peso value.

🇨🇦 6. Canadian Dollar (CAD)

  • CA$1 = ₱41.84
Canada’s dollar is mid-range. It’s stronger than Asian currencies like yen or baht, but not as strong as the US dollar.

🇸🇬 7. Singapore Dollar (SGD)

  • SG$1 = ₱44.59
A strong Asian currency! The Singapore dollar gives good value, especially for Filipino workers in Singapore.

🇦🇺 8. Australian Dollar (AUD)

  • AU$1 = ₱37.11
The Aussie dollar is a bit weaker than the Singapore dollar, but still gives a solid exchange rate for OFWs.

🇧🇭 9. Bahraini Dinar (BHD)

  • BHD1 = ₱151.98
This is the strongest currency on the list! Just one dinar is worth over ₱150. This is great news for OFWs in Bahrain!

🇰🇼 10. Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD)

  • No data available
Normally the highest-valued currency, but no exchange rate was posted this time. Possibly due to a holiday or market issue.

🇸🇦 11. Saudi Riyal (SAR)

  • SAR1 = ₱15.28
Still strong and steady! Many Filipinos working in Saudi Arabia can send home more pesos.

🇧🇳 12. Brunei Dollar (BND)

  • BND1 = ₱44.42
Brunei’s money is almost the same as Singapore’s. OFWs there also benefit from a strong exchange rate.

🇮🇩 13. Indonesian Rupiah (IDR)

  • Rp1 = ₱0.0035
The rupiah is very low in value. You need about 300 rupiah just to get one peso!

🇹🇭 14. Thai Baht (THB)

  • ฿1 = ₱1.75
Stronger than the rupiah, but still less than the peso. Good if you’re a tourist visiting Thailand!

🇦🇪 15. UAE Dirham (AED)

  • AED1 = ₱15.61
Another strong Middle Eastern currency. This is good news for Filipinos in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

🧠 What Does This Mean?

  • If a currency gives more pesos, it’s stronger and better for Filipino workers abroad.

  • If it gives less pesos, it means the Philippine peso is stronger than that currency.

  • Strong currencies like the British Pound, Bahraini Dinar, and US Dollar are great for OFWs sending money home.

  • Currencies like yen, rupiah, and won are weaker, meaning you get less pesos for each unit.

📌 BONUS INFO from BSP:

  • Buying Rate (Banks buy dollars at): ₱57.20

  • Selling Rate (Banks sell dollars at): ₱57.70

  • Gold Price: $3,368.40

  • Silver Price: $36.35

  • SDR Rate: $1.36219 (Special Drawing Rights—used in international finance)

If you want to understand how this affects travel, shopping, or remittances, just remember:
The stronger the foreign money, the more pesos it gives you! 💵➡️💰
