Pacquiao to Driver Stuck in EDSA Busway: ‘You’re Out

Laoag City, Ilocos Norte – Boxing legend and former senator Manny Pacquiao has taken swift action against his own driver after a traffic violation that caused major embarrassment.

Over the weekend, Pacquiao’s security convoy was caught using the EDSA Busway, a lane strictly reserved for buses. When flagged by authorities, one of the vehicles did not stop as instructed. Instead, the driver sped away, leaving enforcers stunned.

🚨 Pacquiao Was NOT Happy! 🚨

When he found out what happened, Pacquiao immediately scolded his security team and ordered them to return and accept the traffic violation ticket. He made it very clear that he does not tolerate breaking traffic laws—no matter who it is.

“You won’t see that driver with me anymore. I told him to stay behind. He’s not coming with us again,” Pacquiao told reporters.

Feeling embarrassed by the situation, Pacquiao personally apologized and ensured that the necessary penalties were paid.

💬 “I don’t allow that kind of behavior,” he firmly stated.

🚗 What Really Happened?

The Department of Transportation’s Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT) caught two vehicles illegally using the Busway, with passengers claiming they were part of Pacquiao’s security team.

When a traffic enforcer tried to stop one of the vans, a passenger pretended they were pulling over—but instead, the driver sped off! Later, the van returned to the scene, and authorities issued multiple tickets for:
Disregarding traffic signs
Illegal use of blinkers

⚖️ Pacquiao’s Message Is Clear
Manny Pacquiao, known for his discipline in and out of the ring, made it clear: Nobody is above the law—even his own team. 🚦💪
