OVP Mobilizes Satellite Offices to Help Areas Affected by Storm Kristine

MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Vice President (OVP) has activated its satellite offices to assist people affected by Severe Tropical Storm “Kristine” (International Name: Trami).

In a Facebook update, the OVP-Bicol office shared that they provided hot meals and bottled water to over 1,000 frontliners, including disaster response teams from Legazpi City and Daraga. They also helped families in the villages of Ems Barrio, Lapu-Lapu, and Bitano in Legazpi City, as well as students from Bicol University.

The OVP’s Disaster Operations Center is working with its offices in Pangasinan and Cagayan Valley to send relief packages to affected areas. More supplies are being packed for distribution in Visayas and Southern Luzon.
