MANILA, Philippines — Get ready for more adventures! The popular lifestyle and travel TV show “I Heart PH” has a big surprise for everyone. The show is teaming up with the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) for its exciting 10th season!
At a special event held at Novotel Manila in Quezon City, the show’s friendly host Valerie Tan welcomed the team from Hong Kong. She smiled brightly as she talked about the fun things she did in Hong Kong and what viewers can expect in the new season.
Why Hong Kong?
Mr. Liew Chian Jia, a big boss from the Hong Kong Tourism Board, shared why this partnership is a big deal.
“This is a great chance to show Filipino families the delicious food, fun places, and colorful culture of Hong Kong,” he said.
He also mentioned something super cool:
“I Heart PH” is the first Filipino TV show to share a sneak peek of Hong Kong Disneyland’s 20th birthday celebration! The theme park is calling it “The Most Magical Party of All”—and who doesn’t love a magical party?
Valerie’s Awesome Adventures
Valerie had a blast during her trip to Hong Kong. She even climbed a 14-meter tall tower (that’s almost as tall as a building!) used in the Bun Scrambling Competition. This fun event happens every May during the Cheung Chau Bun Festival on Cheung Chau Island.
The festival includes:
-
A special Piu Sik Parade, where kids wear costumes and “float” above the ground while standing on metal frames
-
The thrilling bun tower race, where people climb towers covered in buns to grab lucky ones called “Ping An” or peace buns
Yummy Food Alert!
Valerie also tried super yummy food that you can only find in Hong Kong. She visited the original Tim Ho Wan restaurant and tasted:
-
Baked barbecue pork buns (crispy and sweet!)
-
Roselle red rice rolls (special and colorful!)
-
Almond Milk Tea (only served in Hong Kong!)
And guess what? She didn’t stop there! She also enjoyed:
-
Flaky egg tarts that melt in your mouth
-
Hong Kong-style waffles from the famous Temple Street Night Market
Panda Time!
One of Valerie’s favorite memories? Seeing the giant panda twin cubs at Ocean Park Hong Kong! She hopes to go back for their 1st birthday party—how cute is that?
Why It Matters
Mr. Liew said he hopes more Filipinos will visit Hong Kong. Last year, over 1.2 million Filipinos went there—wow, that’s a lot of people! He promised that Hong Kong will keep offering fun events and special celebrations that Filipino travelers will love.
So if you love food, pandas, parades, and magical theme parks, don’t miss the newest season of “I Heart PH”—it’s going to take you on an amazing trip to Hong Kong!
