PILI, Camarines Sur – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. visited Bicol, the home province of his former rival Leni Robredo, and asked voters to support all 12 candidates from his team in the upcoming 2025 elections.
Speaking at a big campaign rally, Marcos told the people of Bicol to vote for his Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate.
“When you go to vote in May, don’t hesitate! Just shade all 12 names from Alyansa right away,” Marcos said, encouraging the crowd. This was the first and only campaign rally of Alyansa in the Bicol Region.
Why Marcos Wants a 12-0 Win for His Team
Marcos explained that if his chosen candidates win, the Bicol region will receive more help and support from the national government.
“It’s easy to say that our candidates are the best, but if you put them all together, it’s like having a ‘dream team’ in the Senate,” the President said.
A United Team from Different Parties
One special thing about Marcos’ team is that they come from different political groups. He pointed out that even though they belong to different parties, they all share the same goal: to improve the lives of Filipinos.
“You will notice that we are wearing different colors because we come from different political parties. That’s why we are called ‘Alyansa’ – an alliance. We may have different opinions, but in the end, we all want the same thing: to help Filipinos and make the country better,” he said.
A Call for Unity
Marcos ended his speech by calling for unity. He said that no matter where people come from, if they love the Philippines, they should work together for progress.
“Every Filipino who loves their fellow citizens has the same dream – to make life better for all Filipinos and to build a stronger Philippines,” Marcos said.
With the 2025 elections getting closer, Marcos is hoping that Bicolanos, even in the home province of Leni Robredo, will give his team a 12-0 victory.
