Discover Your Next Snow Day Adventure: Korea Travel Fiesta 2025
Are you dreaming of a winter wonderland? Look no further! The Korea Travel Fiesta 2025 has officially launched, and it’s your passport to an unforgettable snowy adventure. Hosted by the Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) this past Saturday, the event shines a spotlight on winter and family travel for Filipinos eager to experience Korea’s enchanting holiday season.
A Magical Winter Awaits
As the Philippines embarks on the joyous ‘ber-months’—the beloved Christmas season—KTO’s Acting Vice President of Tourism Content Strategy Division, Kim Nam Chun, emphasized the importance of this event. “We aim to showcase the diverse charms of Korean tourism and inspire Filipinos to plan their next holiday with family in Korea,” he shared. What better way to get a taste of the holiday spirit than by exploring Korea’s rich culture ahead of time?
Exciting Offers and Experiences
Bouncing with excitement, visitors to the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall will uncover fantastic travel deals from airlines and travel agencies. Looking to hit the slopes? There are exclusive ski resort packages available just a stone’s throw from Seoul. And here’s the cherry on top: if you book your roundtrip tickets during the event, you can snag a “1+1 promotion.” This means free tickets to other breathtaking spots in Korea, including Jeju Island or Busan!
But the adventures don’t stop there. Attendees can immerse themselves in Korea’s vibrant culture by trying on a traditional hanbok, getting a personalized skin analysis, or even being cartoonized by talented Korean artists. “We hope to inspire you to create lasting Christmas memories with your loved ones in Korea,” Kim added.
Booming Connections
Excitingly, the number of Filipino visitors to South Korea is on the rise. In 2024, a staggering 520,000 Filipinos made the journey, marking a 51% increase from the previous year—the highest among Southeast Asian countries. “Tourism exchange between Korea and the Philippines is soaring, and we expect even more growth in the future,” Kim stated.
Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco joined the conversation, encouraging Filipinos to explore the wonders of Korea. “I invite our Filipino friends to experience Korea, and I warmly welcome our Korean friends to delve into the beauty and warmth of the Philippines,” she urged. Frasco highlighted the newfound direct flights connecting South Korea with Cebu, Clark, Davao, Panglao, and Kalibo, making travel easier and more enjoyable.
A Spectacle of Entertainment
The event wasn’t just about travel—it was also a feast for the senses! The Korean cast of the beloved musical “Dream High” brought the audience to their feet with electrifying performances. Icons like ZE:A’s Kim Dongjun and VICTON’s Lim Sejun performed stirring renditions, including the series’ signature theme song.
Adding an extra layer of excitement, the martial arts group K-Tigers showcased their heart-stopping taekwondo moves. They capped off their performance with jaw-dropping choreography from the hit Netflix film “K-Pop Demon Hunters.” And who could forget Infinite’s Kim Myungsoo? His crowd-pleasing performances warmed hearts with songs like “What’s Not To Love” and “My Universe.”
