GSIS Disburses Over P27B in Microloans to Gov’t Workers!

Ginhawa Go: A Lifeline for Government Employees

In a heartfelt move to support those who serve our nation, the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has rolled out the Ginhawa Go Program, channeling a remarkable ₱27.29 billion in microloans to an impressive 463,608 active government employees. This initiative is more than just numbers; it represents hope and relief for many seeking a fair financial option.

A Breath of Fresh Air

From October 24, 2024, to July 28, 2026, the GSIS has recorded significant activity in microloans, helping employees access funds quickly and affordably. Formerly launched as Ginhawa Lite, the program was reimagined and relaunched in February 2026 as Ginhawa Go.

Wick Veloso, the GSIS President and General Manager, captures the essence of this program perfectly. He stated, “Ginhawa Go answers a basic need for our members: quick, dignified access to credit that will not push them toward informal lenders.” It’s not just a loan; it’s a lifeline, providing financial support in a dignified manner.

Filling a Vital Gap

The sheer volume of loans disbursed speaks volumes about the program’s impact. It’s clear that Ginhawa Go is stepping in to fill a crucial gap for employees who once found themselves relying on sketchy informal lending options. Imagine the relief in knowing there’s a trustworthy alternative!

Flexible and Accessible

So, how does Ginhawa Go work? Eligible members can borrow amounts ranging from ₱1,000 to ₱50,000, all at a competitive 6% interest rate. Repayment terms are flexible, varying from just 30 days to 24 months, allowing people to choose what best suits their financial situation.

Applying for these loans is a breeze! Members simply use the GSIS Touch mobile app to submit their requests, making the process as seamless as possible.

Added Security for Families

One of the standout features of the Ginhawa Go Program is the Loan Redemption Insurance. This critical safety net ensures that if a borrower passes away, any outstanding loan balance is settled. It’s a compassionate touch, protecting families from unforeseen financial burdens during trying times.

In Conclusion

As the GSIS continues to uplift and empower government employees through Ginhawa Go, it stands as a testament to the support our public servants truly deserve. With a vision rooted in dignity and care, this program is changing lives—one loan at a time.

In these challenging financial times, initiatives like Ginhawa Go remind us of the strength and solidarity within our communities. It’s a moment to celebrate, a moment of hope, and a moment where help is just a touch away.
