The Philippine Embassy in Israel has an important message for all Filipinos living there:
“Stay inside your homes and be ready to take shelter.”
This warning came after Israel was placed under a special safety rule called “Essential Activity Status” starting Friday, June 13, because of rising tension with Iran. That means things are getting serious and everyone needs to be extra careful.
What’s Happening?
There’s a conflict between Israel and Iran, and people are worried that a fight could break out. Because of this, the IDF Home Front Command (the group that handles safety in Israel) gave an official order:
From 3 a.m. on June 13 to 8 p.m. on June 14, Israel will be under this “Essential Activity” mode, which means:

No school for anyone

No parties, events, or any gatherings

No work, except for people doing important jobs like doctors, police, or emergency helpers
What Should Filipinos Do?
The Philippine Embassy is asking all Filipinos in Israel to:

Be ready to run to a shelter, a safe room, or a mamad (a strong room in homes in Israel) if there’s a missile alert

Listen only to official instructions from the IDF, the Philippine Embassy, or trusted news sources

OFW Deployment Still on Hold
Because of the danger, the Philippine government is still not allowing new OFWs (Overseas Filipino Workers) to go to Israel for now. That’s because the country is still under Alert Level 2, which means there’s some danger, but not yet the highest level.
What the Officials Say
DFA Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega said in a TV interview that people in Israel know how to protect themselves because they are trained and prepared. He used to work there too, so he understands the situation well.
Meanwhile, the DFA and the Department of Migrant Workers are also watching closely what’s going on in Iran, since there are also Filipinos living there.

According to a Reuters report, Israel launched an attack on Iran and is now getting ready in case Iran fights back.
Experts say Israel has long thought about doing this to stop Iran from possibly building a nuclear weapon, which many fear could be dangerous for the whole region.
