A regular flight turned scary in just minutes! ✈️
On Friday, an Air India flight (AI 379) took off from Phuket, Thailand, heading to New Delhi, India. But not long after the plane was flying in the sky, something shocking happened — someone found a bomb threat note inside the plane’s bathroom! 😨
A Quick Turnaround
As soon as the crew discovered the scary message, they alerted the pilot. Without wasting time, the plane turned around and made an emergency landing back at Phuket International Airport.
There were 156 passengers on board, and everyone was safely taken off the plane. Thankfully, nobody got hurt, and airport officials quickly took action.
Police Search the Plane
Police and airport teams rushed in to search the entire plane. After checking everything — even the passengers’ bags and the cargo area — they found no bomb or any dangerous item on board. 😌
The head of Phuket Airport, Monchai Tanode, said the note was found in the bathroom and that police questioned some passengers. At first, they had three suspects, but in the end, no one was found guilty.
A Pattern of Hoaxes
Sadly, this kind of thing has been happening more often. India’s airports and airlines received nearly 1,000 hoax bomb threats last year, which is almost 10 times more than in 2022! Most of them turned out to be fake — but each one still causes panic, delays, and fear.
A Week of Trouble for Air India
To make things worse, this scary bomb threat came just one day after a terrible accident. On Thursday, an Air India flight crashed shortly after taking off in Ahmedabad, India, and over 240 people lost their lives. 💔
This made people even more worried when the bomb threat happened — even though, this time, no one was hurt and no bomb was found.
