Bureau of Customs Surpasses Revenue Goals: A Story of Dedication and Success
In a remarkable showcase of diligence and commitment, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) has collected an impressive ₱757.406 billion from January to September 2026. This significant achievement highlights not only their hard work but also their unwavering ability to exceed expectations.
The BOC’s collection surpassed its target of ₱748.494 billion for this period by ₱8.913 billion, marking an increase of 1.2%. Even more striking is the growth compared to the same period last year: they generated ₱55.735 billion more than in 2025, which translates to a remarkable 7.9% year-on-year growth.
A Record September
The month of September alone saw the BOC bring in ₱93.339 billion—greater than the targeted ₱89.184 billion by ₱4.155 billion or about 4.7%. This figure also reflects a substantial increase of ₱13.056 billion from September 2025, marking a robust growth of 16.3%.
Ambitious Goals Ahead
As we look forward, the government has set a bold target of ₱1.033 trillion in revenues for the Bureau of Customs. This ambitious goal is within reach, and BOC Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno expresses confidence in this direction, stating:
“To all our men and women in the Bureau of Customs, the ₱1-trillion goal is ambitious, but our performance shows that we are on the right track. In just nine months, we’ve already collected ₱757.4 billion, surpassed our target, and achieved a 7.9% growth compared to last year.”
