In the words of DOLE Secretary Francis Tolentino, “This is a decision made by the National Wages and Productivity Commission to approve the Regional Wage Board’s efforts to uplift the lives of our domestic workers.” Their new monthly minimum wage will rise to P7,500 for those in Cebu and Bohol—a step forward for the dignity and rights of these essential workers.
