In Batac City, Ilocos Norte, everything is ready for the big election day on May 12. President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will be casting his vote at Mariano Marcos Memorial Elementary School, which is all set for the midterm elections.
Poll watchman Julito Cajudoy confirmed that the preparations are complete. He also mentioned that Marcos’ mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, will vote at the same polling place.
To ensure everything runs smoothly and safely, police officers will be stationed at the school during the election. Election materials will be delivered to the school early on Monday morning, around 3 a.m., so everything is ready for the voters.
Additionally, the Philippine Red Cross will set up a station to help any voters who need assistance or have questions.
According to research, Ilocos Norte has 436,087 registered voters for 2025. This is the smallest number compared to the other provinces in Region I, but in 2022, it had the 8th highest voter turnout in the country.
The stage is set for a smooth and safe election process!
