The race to become a senator is heating up, and four big names are getting lots of votes!
According to the Commission on Elections (that’s the group that counts the votes), they have already checked more than half of all the votes—59.48% to be exact. That means they’ve looked at more than half of the ballots people filled out during the election.
Right now, Senator Bong Go is in first place! He has already gotten 16,247,558 votes. That’s a HUGE number of people who want him to be a senator again.
Coming in second is former Senator Bam Aquino. He used to be a senator before and many people still support him. He has 13,383,996 votes so far.
In third place is Senator Bato dela Rosa. People know him as a strong and tough leader. He has 12,344,449 votes.
And in fourth place is Erwin Tulfo, who is a representative from the ACT-CIS party-list. Lots of people know him from helping others and being on the news. He has 10,570,713 votes.
Even though the counting is not yet finished, these four leaders are off to a very strong start. Everyone is watching closely to see who will make it to the final list of winners for the Senate!
