For Rayver Cruz, dance has always been more than movement.
It’s passion.
It’s purpose.
And now, it’s a new chapter.
The Sparkle star is officially joining “Stars on the Floor” Season 2—not as a performer, but as part of the show’s dance authority. It’s a role he’s stepping into for the very first time, and one that comes with excitement written all over it.
Rayver will sit alongside returning judges Marian Rivera and Coach Jay, with Alden Richards once again hosting the hit dance competition.
In an interview with GMA News Online, Rayver admitted that judging is uncharted territory—but the thrill of it all easily outweighs any nerves.
“First time ko magju-judge,” he shared. “Mas nangingibabaw ‘yung excitement kasi nasubaybayan ko talaga ‘yung Season 1.”
Season 1 was special for Rayver for another reason.
His brother, Rodjun Cruz, was there—and went on to win.
Watching the show back then sparked something in him. Every episode made him imagine himself on that stage—dancing, performing, creating.
“Tuwing napapanood ko ‘yung show,” Rayver recalled, “naiisip ko, paano kung ako ‘yung nandoon? Paano kung kasali ako? Anong gagawin ko?”
Those thoughts stayed with him. For years.
Dance has always been close to his heart, and being part of a show like “Stars on the Floor” was a dream he carried long before this moment—whether as a contestant or in any role that let him express his love for movement.
Now, fate has brought him back to that dream—this time, from the judges’ seat.
Rayver couldn’t help but reflect on the perfect timing of it all. After his brother’s victory in Season 1, he now joins Season 2 as a judge—a full-circle moment he describes as nothing short of a blessing.
“Ang galing lang ni Lord,” he said. “From Season 1 na nanalo ‘yung kapatid ko, tapos Season 2, nandito naman ako bilang kasama nila sa dance authority. Very blessed ako. Very thankful sa GMA family.”
Looking back, Rayver realized that many of his career firsts happened under the Kapuso network.
His first time hosting.
His growth as a singer.
And now, his first time judging.
“All of my firsts,” he shared, “dito ko halos nagawa sa GMA.”
It’s something he doesn’t take lightly. Every opportunity, he says, is something he values deeply.
With Rayver joining the panel, fans can expect fresh insight, genuine passion, and a judge who truly understands what it means to love dance from the inside out.
“Stars on the Floor” Season 2 premieres on February 15—and this time, Rayver Cruz isn’t just watching the dream.
He’s living it.
