Actress Ashley Ortega just shared how her beautiful friendship with Shuvee Etrata began — and it’s full of touching moments, real struggles, and true bonding!
It All Started on a TV Show Called Hearts on Ice
Ashley and Shuvee first met while working on a TV show called Hearts on Ice. Ashley played the main role of Ponggay, while Shuvee played Kring-Kring, one of her friends on the show.
Ashley said,
“It was my first time meeting Shuvee while filming Hearts on Ice. We were on the same set almost every day.”
That’s where their friendship began — on set, pretending to be friends… and later becoming real ones!
Becoming Closer Off-Camera
Ashley wasn’t the only one Shuvee got close to. She also became friends with their co-stars Roxie Smith and Skye Chua.
Ashley shared a fun fact:
“All of us — me, Shuvee, and Roxie — lived alone. So, we really related to each other. We started hanging out more, even after filming ended.”
Their friendship grew stronger as they spent more time together outside of work, just having fun and supporting one another like real sisters.
From Friends to Roommates
After being friends for around two years, Ashley made a big move — literally!
She invited Shuvee to live with her.
“I wanted to move to a newer place, and Shuvee and I were both living alone without our families. It was hard. That’s why we understood each other well,” Ashley said.
Their bond became even deeper as roommates, facing everyday life together and building a friendship based on trust and shared experiences.
Respect Was the Start of It All
When asked why Shuvee felt so comfortable trusting Ashley, Ashley had a powerful answer:
“Before we even became friends, I already respected her as a fellow artist.”
That respect helped build a strong friendship that continues today.
Finding Her “Core” People
Shuvee, who also joined Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition, felt very lucky to find people she could trust in Manila.
“I found my core — my real circle. And it’s them,” she said, talking about Ashley, Roxie, and Skye.

Both Ashley and Shuvee were housemates in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.
Ashley and her partner AC Bonifacio were the first ones evicted, while Shuvee and Klarisse De Guzman were among the last to leave the house after public voting.
