Dionela Donates Concert Earnings to Typhoon Uwan Victims

In a touching act of compassion, OPM artist Dionela, known for his hit song “Marilag,” announced that he will donate all proceeds from his upcoming concert to help the victims of Super Typhoon Uwan.

The singer shared the news on his Instagram Story, posting a photo of himself holding a whiteboard with a heartfelt message written on it.

“My first major concert is happening on November 21 and 22 and I’m beyond grateful that tickets are almost sold out, with just a few seats left,” Dionela wrote.

But it wasn’t just about the concert’s success. On the whiteboard, Dionela revealed the deeper reason behind his decision — one that came from faith and compassion.

“I made a decision that God impressed upon my heart,” the message read, referring to his plan to donate his concert earnings to those devastated by the storm.

He added, “The concert is called ‘The Grace Tour,’ and I guess this is what grace is all about.”

The singer’s announcement comes as the nation continues to reel from the destruction left by Super Typhoon Uwan, which made landfall in Dinalungan, Aurora on Sunday night and swept across Luzon by Monday morning.

So far, five people have been reported dead, including twin children in Nueva Vizcaya whose home was buried in a landslide.

The storm displaced nearly 1.4 million individuals, or about 426,000 families, across Metro Manila, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Negros Island Region, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, and Eastern Visayas.

In times of loss and uncertainty, Dionela’s act of kindness is a powerful reminder that even in darkness, grace can still shine through.
