A very sad thing happened in Milan, Italy on Saturday, April 26. A 17-year-old Filipino girl was hit by a train at a place called Greco-Pirelli station.
According to the news in Italy, the girl was crossing the train tracks on a scooter with her parents when the train suddenly came and hit her. She was badly hurt and was rushed to San Gerardo Hospital in Monza. Sadly, even after trying to help her, the doctors could not save her, and she passed away.
The Philippine Consulate General in Milan shared how sad they were and said sorry to the family of the teen. They also asked the Filipino community to pray for her soul.
“Please pray for our kababayan (fellow Filipino) who has passed away,” the Consulate said in a message.
This story reminds everyone to be very careful near train tracks and always follow safety rules—trains move fast and can be very dangerous.
Let’s all send love and prayers to the teen’s family during this very hard time.
