8 New Direct Flights to Cebu and Manila Start in Q4 2025

MANILA — Travelers rejoice! The Department of Tourism (DOT) announced on Tuesday that direct flights from Cebu and Manila to eight destinations are set to operate in the last quarter of 2025, signaling strong recovery and connectivity.

The exciting lineup includes:

  • Firefly: Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) – Cebu, starting Dec. 2

  • Jetstar: Perth (Australia) – Manila, Nov. 27

  • Jetstar: Brisbane (Australia) – Cebu, Dec. 3

  • Vietnam Airlines: Hanoi (Vietnam) – Cebu, Dec. 2

  • VietJet: Saigon (Vietnam) – Manila, Nov. 22

  • AirAsia: Cebu-Kuala Lumpur and Cebu-Macau, Nov. 15

  • Philippine Airlines: Cebu-Guam, Dec. 16

Despite recent typhoons and earthquakes that affected parts of Cebu, connectivity remains robust, DOT emphasized. Mactan–Cebu International Airport continues normal operations, and major sea routes have resumed, welcoming visitors once again.

Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco encouraged travelers and stakeholders to proceed with planned visits and inaugural flights.

“We acknowledge that a few groups have chosen to defer travel, and we stand ready to help them rebook and adjust itineraries. Our foremost commitment is safety; our message is confidence,” she said.

“Cebu is moving forward. Our gateways and core tourism areas are open, and together we will turn recovery into renewed growth,” Frasco added.

With new flights and restored operations, Cebu is not just recovering — it’s ready to soar, offering both convenience and confidence to visitors from around the world.
