Ogie Alcasid couldn’t hide his excitement after Jessica Sanchez’s big win on America’s Got Talent.
The singer and It’s Showtime host proudly celebrated the Filipino-American star’s victory by sharing a throwback photo of them together on Instagram.
“Congratulations to Jessica Sanchez for winning the 20th season of America’s Got Talent!!!” Ogie wrote, recalling the moment they first met in 2018 when Jessica guested on ASAP in Hawaii.
“As a fanboy tayo diyan!!” he added, showing just how much he admires her journey.
Jessica’s story has always been one of talent and resilience. She first joined AGT at just 10 years old, making it all the way to the semi-finals. Later, she skyrocketed to fame as the runner-up of American Idol Season 11, where her powerful voice won hearts around the world.
This year, she made a stunning comeback on AGT. In July, she performed Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things,” a performance so moving that judge Sofia Vergara slammed the golden buzzer.
Her finale performance was equally unforgettable. Jessica delivered a soaring rendition of “Golden Hour” by JVKE, sealing her place as the newest AGT champion.
With Ogie cheering her on and fans around the world celebrating, Jessica’s victory proves once again that Filipino talent shines brightly on the global stage.
