Zephanie sounds like a true princess in her latest single.
Titled “Aking Hiling,” it is the Tagalog version of “This Wish,” from the soundtrack of the Disney animated musical fantasy film “Wish.”
The Kapuso singer lent her voice to a pop song that advocates for standing up for what’s right and pursuing the greater good despite the fear and challenges that may arise.
Zephanie’s Instagram posts revealed her visit to the Disney Philippines office, expressing her joy at the opportunity to sing “Aking Hiling”
“It was such a magical and surreal moment for me,” Zephanie said.
Now that she has another project with Disney, Zephanie said, “I believe that great things truly come at the right time and season of our lives. And I just can’t put into words how happy and grateful I feel for being given the opportunity to sing ‘Aking Hiling’ — the localized version of ‘This Wish’ from the soundtrack of Disney’s ‘Wish.’”
She then thanked everyone who believed in her and made the project possible. “I am so grateful for all the love and support you have given me since day one, so I wanna share this blessing with all of you!”
Zephanie said, “@disneystudiosph you are one of my biggest blessings this year! Thank you for making my dream come true!”
She also thanked Sparkle GMA Artist Center, Cornerstone, and UMG Philippines “for being with me as I grow in this industry and achieve my dreams!”
Finally, to her supporters Zephanatics, Zephanie said, “I wouldn’t be here without you all! Thank you for sticking with me in this journey!”
She added, “I thank God for all of you! I love you all!”
She recently met Jeremy Zucker and they performed a duet of his song, “This is How You Fall in Love.”
“Wish” follows a teenager named Asha from the Kingdom of Rosas. Asha senses some form of darkness from their ruler King Magnifico. When she makes a wish, Star comes from the sky and they fight to overcome the evil in the kingdom for a better future for their people.
It premieres in cinemas on November 22.
