MANILA, Philippines — Ako Bicol Rep. Elizaldy Co has not sent any reply to the order of Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III to return to the country.
Dy, on Sept. 18, revoked Co’s travel clearance and ordered him to return within 10 calendar days from receipt of the notice.
“None yet,” he said when asked in an interview at the House of Representatives on Monday if Co has replied.
Co, former appropriations committee chairman, was linked to substandard flood control projects in Mindoro. Sunwest, which was co-founded by Co, was among several construction companies that cornered big projects from the Department of Public Works and Highways.
House spokesman Princess Abante earlier said that Co was in the US for medical treatment.
