Would the young Julie Anne San Jose join The Voice Kids Philippines?
The Asia’s Limitless Star gave a heartfelt answer during the media conference for the reality singing competition on Wednesday.
Julie shared that if she were younger, she would have joined the show—not because of pressure, but simply to experience the journey.
“I joined Pops Star Kids before, and that was a different experience,” Julie recalled. “Siguro kung sasali ako ng The Voice, my younger self would… but not to the point of being pressured. I just really wanted to go, to try.”
For her, it was never about winning or setting big expectations. It was about embracing the moment.
“I wouldn’t get my hopes up,” Julie explained. “If I got in, then let’s go and continue the journey. But if it wasn’t meant for me, that’s okay too.”
But here comes the twist: as one of the new coaches this season, would Julie turn her chair for her younger self?
Her answer was touching. “Yes, I would. Because I want to give myself a chance.”
Julie joins fellow coaches Billy Crawford, Zack Tabudlo, and Paolo and Miguel Benjamin of Ben&Ben for The Voice Kids Philippines Season 3, premiering September 14 on GMA Network.
