VP Sara says she and Marcos have no problem with each other

Vice President Sara Duterte said she and President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. have no issue with each other weeks after her father and brother criticized the Chief Executive.

According to Marisol Abdurahman’s report on “24 Oras,” Sara made the remarks in an interview in Kuala Lumpur, where she is set to meet with Malaysian officials.

“We have no problem with each other. President Bongbong Marcos and I are doing good. We are okay in terms of our relationship,” Sara said when asked about her and the President.

Asked about her ties with First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, Sara said, “I have no comment as of this time.”

At Marcos’ departure for Vietnam, video caught Sara and the President exchanging pleasantries while there was no such exchange between her and the First Lady.

Sara said she has yet to talk to her father former President Rodrigo Duterte and brother Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte.

She said Marcos didn’t ask about what Duterte and Baste said against him.

At a rally in Davao City a few weeks ago, the former President called Marcos a drug addict and called for a stop to the people’s initiative for Charter change.

Marcos responded by saying he would not dignify the allegation that he was an addict. He indicated it must be the effect of the pain reliever fentanyl, which Duterte said he took years ago.

Baste, on the other hand, called on Marcos to resign.
