President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. expressed heartfelt gratitude to the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for its unwavering support to Filipino workers and for treating the Philippines as a valued partner in meaningful collaborations.
On Thursday, Marcos welcomed an official UAE delegation led by Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange Abdulla Nasser Lootah, who paid him a courtesy call at Malacañang.
“It was a pleasure to welcome Deputy Minister Abdulla Nasser Lootah and the UAE delegation as they conclude the Philippines–UAE Government Experience Exchange Forum,” the President shared in a social media post.
He added:
“We are grateful to the UAE for its continued support to our Filipino workers and for being a true partner in building smarter, future-ready governments. Through shared knowledge and collaboration, we are creating meaningful change for our people.”
Deputy Minister Lootah was joined by UAE Ambassador Mohamed Obaid Salem Alqataam Alzaabi and other officials. He reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, emphasizing the importance of deepening cooperation between the two nations.
The Philippines–UAE Government Experience Exchange Forum serves as a platform for both countries to share best practices, train government personnel, and explore innovative approaches in governance—making sure progress benefits not just institutions, but the people they serve.
With millions of Filipinos working in the UAE, this partnership carries special meaning. For Marcos, it is more than diplomacy—it is about ensuring that every overseas Filipino worker feels the support of two nations working hand in hand.
