According to ABS-CBN, the actress, who spoke about Cruz’s indefinite break from showbiz, assured that the actor will not leave the show willy-nilly.
“It’s his show. When he is ready, when he has settled all personal matters that need to be taken care of, eventually [he’ll be back],” she said.
As for now, Gonzaga, who plays the actor’s wife in the sitcom, will gladly manage the show with other co-stars, including new addition like Ai-Ai delas Alas, Rufa Mae Quinto, and Piolo Pascual.
“As long as the management is not saying anything, we will continue to tape the show. We’re taking it one day at a time,” she added.
She also declined to comment on Cruz’s relationship with Ellen Adarna, who is also a cast member of the sitcom.
“Whatever makes them happy, let them be. We still enjoy working,” she said.
