After nearly two decades away, TikTok star Mama Lulu finally made her long-awaited return to Pangasinan — and it was a trip filled with faith, family, and heartfelt nostalgia.
On her seventh day in the Philippines, Mama Lulu and her family traveled to the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag, one of the country’s most beloved pilgrimage sites.
In a touching TikTok video, Mama Lulu shared how their family used to visit Pangasinan often to attend Mass, since it’s her father’s home province.
“Excited ako makabalik dahil 18 years akong di nakapunta diyan,” she said with a smile.
“Kahit sa Makati ako pinalaki, ang daddy ko [ay] from San Fabian, Pangasinan.”
(“I’m so excited to return since it’s been 18 years since I last visited. Even though I was raised in Makati, my dad is from San Fabian, Pangasinan.”)
After attending church, Mama Lulu indulged in tupig, Pangasinan’s famous sticky rice and coconut delicacy, and enjoyed a bit of souvenir shopping before heading home.
A Journey of Homecoming
Before her trip to Pangasinan, Mama Lulu spent time in her hometown of Bangkal, Makati, where she grew up and raised her own family.
Now on a two-week vacation in the Philippines, her homecoming has been nothing short of heartwarming. In her first week, she revisited her favorite Manila food spots, took a Tagaytay trip for bulalo, and reunited with old friends she hadn’t seen in years.
