Thousands of Filipinos Can’t Resist Taiwan’s Travel Fair

Manila, Philippines — The buzz of excitement was unmistakable as the Panahon sa Taiwan Travel Fair 2025 officially opened its doors, drawing in waves of Filipino travelers eager for fresh adventures.

The opening ceremony was led by Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) Deputy Representative Dustin T.S. Yang and Taiwan Tourism Information Center (TTIC) Manila Director Cindy Y.T. Chen, joined by top executives from airlines and travel agencies. The ribbon-cutting signaled not just the start of the fair, but a renewed bond between Taiwan and the Philippines through travel and cultural exchange.

The venue was alive with color, music, and laughter. Visitors lined up to try night market-inspired games like ring toss and bottle hoop, instantly transported into Taiwan’s lively street scene. Major exhibitors—including China Airlines, EVA Air, and trusted travel agencies such as Amkor Travel, BF Travel, Everbright Travel, Jeron Travel, and Sole Destinations—welcomed guests with exclusive deals and packages showcasing Taiwan’s diverse tourism treasures.

Chen shared encouraging news: the Philippine market continues to thrive as a key source of tourists for Taiwan in 2025. Thanks to visa-free entry, convenient transportation, and strong promotions, more Filipinos are choosing Taiwan as their go-to destination. From four-season adventures to street food delights, shopping sprees, and warm local hospitality, Taiwan is proving irresistible.

Adding to the star power of the event, travel blogger Xzar Lim and actress Bea Binene inspired the crowd by sharing their own Taiwan stories—memories of vibrant night markets, scenic landscapes, and heartfelt encounters. Their words painted vivid pictures that stirred wanderlust among attendees.

But the fair wasn’t just about listening—it was about experiencing. Guests joined hands-on activities like the Lucky Lantern D.I.Y. workshop and enjoyed the Taiwanese Night Market showcase, giving them a real taste of Taiwan’s culture. To top it off, lucky winners even scored roundtrip tickets from Manila to Taipei, fueling the dream of their next adventure.

This year’s travel fair proved more than just an event—it was a bridge of culture, excitement, and connection. For many Filipinos, Taiwan is no longer just a destination on the map—it’s a place that feels like a second home waiting to be explored.
