TODAY, The Manila Times (TMT) will announce the grand sustainability champion among the 15 companies to be awarded as sustainability champions at Conrad Manila in Pasay City.
With the theme, “Envisioning our green future,” The Manila Times Sustainability Champions Awards is being launched to recognize the environmental, social and governance initiatives and circular economy efforts of these sustainability champions; thus, encouraging other companies to follow in their footsteps.
“We developed the Four I’s criteria for selecting the 15 sustainability champions: initiative, impact, inclusiveness and integration,” TMT President and Chief Operating Officer Blanca Calilung-Mercado said. “We set out to identify companies that have shown exceptional commitment to sustainability, focusing on their compliance with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030, all people enjoy peace and prosperity.”
The sustainability champions to be awarded are Aboitiz Power Corp., Bases Conversion and Development Authority, Development Bank of the Philippines, First Gen Corp., Globe Telecom, Land Bank of the Philippines, Manila Electric Co., Manila Water Co. Inc., Megaworld Corp., Philippine Airlines, Robinsons Land Corp., San Miguel Corp., SM Investments Corp., Toyota Motor Philippines Corp., and Vista Land & Lifescapes Inc.
