The city of Taipei in Taiwan wants more Filipinos to discover its beauty, delicious food, and exciting attractions. To make this happen, the Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government is holding a special event called “Feel Your Heartbeat in Taipei” in the Philippines.
This two-day celebration will happen at the Upper Ground Atrium in SM Aura Premier, Taguig City. It’s made to show Filipinos what makes Taipei such a great place to visit.
Why Now?
The timing is perfect! In July, Taiwan and the Philippines started a mutual visa-free policy. This means Filipinos can now visit Taiwan without applying for a visa, and vice versa. Because of this, Taipei wants to welcome more Filipino visitors and give them a taste of its culture right here at home.
How It Starts
The event will open with a traditional lion and dragon dance performed by Phil Hong Sheng Koon. These dances are colorful, loud, and full of energy—just like the streets of Taipei during festivals.
Visitors can also win amazing prizes, including a round-trip ticket from Manila to Taipei.
Special Guests
Important people from the travel industry, including a representative from the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA), will attend.
Popular Filipino travel content creators The Poor Traveler and Krisell Lumagui will also be there. They recently visited Taipei and will share their experiences:
-
The Poor Traveler loved the night markets, saying they’re full of delicious snacks and exciting surprises.
-
Krisell Lumagui said Taipei is perfect for families, with places like the Children’s Amusement Park and fun shopping districts for all ages.
Their stories will make you want to book a trip and see Taipei for yourself.
Why It’s Called “Feel Your Heartbeat in Taipei”
Life today can feel tiring and boring, but Taipei’s fast-paced, colorful energy can make people feel alive again. The event’s theme, “Feel Your Heartbeat in Taipei”, and its sub-theme, “Taipei Adventure Journey”, remind everyone that Taipei is a city for both young and old to enjoy together.
Fun Things to Try at the Event
There will be four interactive zones for visitors:
-
Taipei Love Confession Wall – Write a sweet or inspiring message for Taipei.
-
Postcard Coloring Station – Color postcards to show your vision of Taipei.
-
Taste of Taipei Lucky Wheel – Spin the wheel for surprise prizes.
-
Photo Zone – Take travel photos with famous Taipei landmarks.
If you visit all four zones and collect stamps, you’ll win a canvas tote bag with Taipei souvenirs. You’ll also have more chances to win big prizes like:
-
Dinner for two on Taipei’s double-decker dining bus
-
Tickets to the Taipei 101 Observatory
-
A round-trip ticket from Manila to Taipei
Taipei’s Bigger Goal
This is not just a one-time event. Taipei is working hard to connect more with Southeast Asia. Aside from the Philippines, it’s also promoting in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand. The goal is to invite more people to visit Taipei and feel its vibrant energy for themselves.
