It’s Vice President Sara Duterte and Senator Imee Marcos!
Vice President Sara Duterte flew to Doha, Qatar to say hello and spend time with Filipino workers and families living there. She didn’t go alone—her mom, Elizabeth Zimmerman, and newly re-elected Senator Imee Marcos went with her too!
They met with many happy Filipinos at the Villagio Mall Food Court, one of the popular spots in Doha. Everyone was excited to take photos and hear messages from the Vice President and the Senator. It felt like a mini reunion far from home!
Senator Imee posted on social media that she was very happy to be invited to Qatar and even more joyful to be with VP Sara and her mom again. She said the event was important because it brought Filipinos together, even if they’re far away from the Philippines.
But that’s not all!
After Qatar, VP Sara will fly to The Hague in the Netherlands. There, she plans to visit her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is currently at the Scheveningen Prison. She’s scheduled to visit him on May 30, June 2, and June 3.
On May 31, she’ll join a group of Filipinos outside the International Criminal Court (ICC) to show support.
After all her travels and visits, VP Sara is expected to return home to the Philippines on June 4.
