Even popular stars like Jillian Ward, Kokoy De Santos, and Raheel Bhyria couldn’t resist joining a super funny internet trend called “What Hafen Vella.”
So what is this trend all about?
It started with a funny sound clip from a part of the TV show “It’s Showtime”—specifically from the segment called “Kalokalike,” where people dress up and act like celebrities.
In one episode, a contestant named Christopher Diwata from Orion, Bataan pretended to be Taylor Lautner, a famous actor who played Jacob Black in the “Twilight” movies.
In that scene, he said funny lines like:
“What happened, Bella? Why are you crying again? I know, vampire right?”
Because of how funny and dramatic it sounded, people started using the audio to act out scenes on TikTok—and it quickly went viral (that means tons of people started watching and copying it).
In one TikTok video, Raheel Bhyria invited his friends Jillian and Kokoy to act it out.
-
Jillian pretended to be Bella Swan (the girl from the Twilight movies). She acted like she was crying.
-
Kokoy played the role of Taylor Lautner and copied the famous lines.
-
And Raheel shared the video with the funny caption: “Wa hapen?!” (which is just a silly way of saying “What happened?”)
It was so funny that even Netflix joined in the fun! They made a post saying:
“My brain 24/7: what hafen vella?”
This made lots of people laugh because it shows how the trend has taken over the internet and even big companies like Netflix are enjoying it too.
Oh—and in case you’re wondering, “Twilight” is a movie based on a book series written by Stephenie Meyer. It’s about vampires, werewolves, and a girl named Bella who’s stuck between two worlds. One of the most famous characters is Jacob Black, the werewolf played by Taylor Lautner.
